Eclipse
Since I'm living on an estate in a rural area the light pollution is very
low. I managed to get some excellent photographs of the lunar eclipse using my top of the line Celestron telescope and Nikon D200 camera. All the glass (Tamron, Sigma and Celestron) just made the event so much better. I told Thomas I was going to make the moon disappear and when it did he squealed in delight. He said, "Daddy you must be the strongest man in the world!" and you know, he's right! Look for my photographs on the cover of Sky and Telescope as well as now being on display at the Museum of Natural History in New York. Only a few weeks and my totally tricked out 35s5 will be on the water sailing faster than most of you have gone in power boats, especially Doug the Tug. I know many of you lost money in the last stock market tumble. I did too, but my dad made good on more than double the loss by giving us yet more money. I got to go now, Suzy thinks I'm an internet addict and neglect Thomas as a result. We moved way out here so I can't hanky panky with all those Russian blondes and Suzy can keep a tighter leash on me since she works only ten minutes away. I may start posting under another name so Suzy doesn't catch me, so please don't let on when you figure out who I am. I'm in the doghouse and living here in isolation under Suzy's watchful eye. It does get real boring and if it keeps up I may get a paper route or something. Capt RB |
