We're polluting our environment by cutting down the forest and by burning the vegatation. That produces greenhouse gasses, which contributes to the global warming. I hope you noticed how they changed the subject. I asked for proof. What did they do? Changed the subject. It's because they don't have any proof. Just repeat a bunch of crap the rest of their type spew. Your right about the forest clearing and burning. It's not related to global warming any more than SUVs are. Idiots like Capt. JG and the other nut jobs who think people actually are altering the world climate aren't capable of looking at things except with their bias glasses on. If people like Capt. JG were logical they'd know that it's been shown that natural forests make more methane than people make carbon dioxide when they cut them down and burn them. Methane's ten times worse than carbon dioxide as a green house gas. Duh! Cheers, Ellen |

The effect upon greenhouse gasses and pollution from the unfortunate destruction of the tropical rain forests in Central and South America is grossly overstated, probably for the purpose of supporting the global warming crowd's need for "evidence." The USA logs out hundreds of time more timber each year than has been removed from the Amazon rain forest since the whole sordid process began. And the USA burns far more coal, wood, and other natural fuels each year than the rain forest destroyers have burned since the beginning as well. But please don't let such facts dissuade you from beating the GW drum to your own timing. Max |

You gave no facts. Zero zip nada. Duh! Your trick of changing the subject might work with the morons in this thread but they don't work with me. Cheers, Ellen |
