Two boats hauled at the yacht club next door to me
burned up recently. Both were owned by the fire
department.

Boat yard fire, only two boats burned--totaled out,
and no other boats damaged??? Sounds like someone
wanted new boats for the fire department.

I wonder if the boaters among the fire department are the ones that
will investigate?

Seems like insurance companies take a dim view of this sort of thing.
