I think so too..... I wonder how it'd be to have a daddy like him. Mine was a damn
drunk who abandoned my mama and me when I was still a kid. Capt. Neal's gotta be a
sober man to think as clear as he does. He acts like he hates women. But, I bet he does
it with a twinkle in his eye. His character shows through in his words.
That's why everybody here still talks about him. And why they think everybody new
is him.
And that Katy. She's bitter sounding. Wouldn't surprise me if she had a crush on the
old codger. He probably rejected her advances. He could tell, heck I can tell she lacks
character....... Maybe that's why she picks on me. Maybe I remind her of him??? Reminds
her it's what she didn't have and can't that get got her snubbed.
Funny thing about character. You'd think a man with lots of character could put
up with a woman with hardly any. Seems like his'd be enough for two. But it's just the
opposite. A man with character wants a woman with character too. As much or more than
he's got. Else he's not comfortable. Sure, men'll dally around with their *trophies* but
they don't usually want one till *death do us part*. Daddy had no character. He was a
bum. Don't know what mamma saw in him..... Give Katy some credit for being interested
in a man of character. Like the Rolling Stones say, "ya cain't always get what ya want(X3)
but if ya try sometimes ya just might find ya get what ya neeeed....." Does that mean
Katy got a slap in the face? s.e.grins & giggles
