Where is Neal? Any word?

Leave the wife home. Obviously she can not contribute to the solution of
the problem, she can only make matters worse. Just think of what might
have happened if someone was injured or quick action was needed to prevent
catastrophe.

The icing on the cake is to mention to her how lonely her retirement will
be when you are out sailing the world - without her.

I do not understand why men are expected to cater to women's emotionally
driven whims and are expected to "apologize" for not understanding. Why
aren't women expected to understand men? Why is it assumed that women are
so handicapped? Why must men yield to this emotional terrorism?

Women are wired for dealing with children, other women and some family
matters. Men are wired for dealing with the external world - things such
as attacking beasts, danger, dinosaurs, thugs, science, sailing and the
like. In your situation there was a conflict between the manly world and
the woman's world. It looks like the costliest solution won.

It is unfortunate that the great and powerful mind of that Master Mariner
Capt Neal is not here to contribute further on this subject. I am certain
that he would add brilliant insight.

Best not to ask that question. It might open a portal into a dimension
you don't want to go.... or worse.

Such fantasies you have, Dearie! Got nothing better to do with your time?
But you give me a good laugh. Capt. Neal knows more about sailing in his little
finger than I know about it in my whole body. I think it'd be accurate to say
Capt. Neal knows more about sailing than everybody in this news group put
together. Seems like you people never go sailing. And, even though you all
are addicted to your computers, I don't see anybody here who has a website
chock full of sailing wisdom like Capt. Neal does. Sailing wisdom and life's
lessons wisdom. All grounded in philosophy that'd make Aristotle take notice.
That's rare in a man these days. Hmmmmmm, sorta makes you wonder doesn't
it Katy? I guess you find it easier to spread gossip and lies than doing something
constructive. Yes, that's it! Jealous of the man's greatness. No ambition of your
own so you stay mediocre.

Cheers,
Ellen

So Capt... did you have the 'big operation' or do you just play at this
female thing?

What do you expect? No *good* surgeon would have done the
operation, after taking a look and realizing there'd be
nothing left afterward.

A better question is "don't *you* have anything better to do
with your time?"

If wishing could make it so, then yes.

Hmmmmm, I wish you'd post a link to *your* website about sailing. I'm not talking
about some lame-o pictures like Capt. Rob used to post either. I'm talking about something
we all can read that talks about sailing. You know, the why's and the wherefores? Stuff
based on actual experience and not a *maybe I'll just follow the crowd and talk about
motor problems* mentality.
Don't have it in ya? I thought as much..... In the meantime forgive me if I enjoy reading
and learning from Capt. Neal. I think I see why he deserted you people. Besides going off
sailing he probably got sick of ingrates.

Cheers,
Ellen

Making a website is not sailing. Why do you judge a person's
sailing skills and knowledge by whether or not they have a
web site filled with bragging & bull****?

Although oddly enough I did author a website for a
one-design class about a decade ago. There is quite a lot of
material there, most of it of more interest to the
one-design racer than other types of sailing though.

Odd thing you should mention that, since there is no
evidence whatever that the Crapton® actually ever sailed. He
bull****ted a lot, in fact he claimed to have visited a
number of ports I know, and when his bluff gets called, he
knows *no* details of the place(s). Same with a number of
the others in this NG. Why do yuo think he is universally
known as the Crapton®?

Well, what're you waiting for? Post the link. At least one-design racers probably
don't have motors.

A term of endearment? I find him to be a loveable old codger.

Ellen
