"John Kerrysaid he opposed a volunteer Army because it would be
dominated by the underprivileged, be less accountable and be more prone to "the perpetuation of war crimes." Yes, and if you put the two letter word "us" back into Kerry's speech as it was originally written, all the hand wringing Republicans look like the blindered idiots they are. CWM Um yeah... what Charles said. It was fun today guys - being in the presence of such intellect. Who knows if I think it over tonight I might decide to change parties and then I can come back tomorrow and start calling people idiots, making derogatory remarks and wanting Kerry in as president in 2008... I mean as opposed to wanting him to run in 2008 that is... |

Your response is intellectually dishonest for two reasons: 1) It's not a direct quote from Kerry, but a paraphrase from who knows where. Cite? Is this from one of the usual kook-sites you get all your other talking points from? 2) That was not the quote in question. Not even close. You are bringing up a "quote" from *1970* and trying to foist it off as the one in question. That's dishonest. For the record, the actual prepared remarks that Kerry was supposed to say we "Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq. Just ask President Bush." It was a dig on Bush. And an accurate one. // Walt |
