Reagan stood up to terrorists and communists. He defeated Soviet
Communism and had terrorism in check. He even cut and run in Bierut
(pulling out the Marines after 240 were killed in a single blast) and
still got the job done. Clinton did nothing, but he is not a
consideration on my part. Democrats are against everythign and for
nothing. They want a draft to maintain a large standing Army to make
more wars. Kennedy let hundreds die on the beach at the Bay of Pigs and
cut a "secret" deal over the Ciban missile crisis. Roosevelt left more
Europeans under totalitarian regimes at the end of WWII than before it
began. LBJ gave us VietNam. Carter let an American Embassy be captured.
Bush is a fumbling Republican. He has expanded the size of government
and has poorly explained the case for Iraq. Patriotic bromides don't cut
it here. He was correct to take action against terrorists, but is all
action justififable?
