All the major sailcloth suppliers Dimension, Contender, etc get tons of
fabric returned from lofts every day because of defects in the cloth. They then turn around and offer these seconds back to the lofts at 50% off. The lofts use the good parts off the rolls for repairs to customer's sails that use the same fabric. I suspect Boobie's midnight sewing machine operator is using defective rolls of cloth to make his bargin sails. |

Look at the material near one of the battens. Namely above and below. |

material near one of the battens. Namely above and below. The main thing that caught my attention regarding the sail in the photo was how deep it was. Nobody builds mains that deep anymore. |

I mentioned having eased the outhaul and over-tensioning the battens in virtually no wind. The sail is certainly cut flatter than my old Mylar. RB 35s5 NY |
