Hey, Sloco....
Turns out we have a friend in common! Imagine that...second time this
happened since I ran into a friend in common with Dave. So, here ya go.... Express 30 AKS Kevlar tri-radial main. Full battens, 2 reefs. Not made in China of course....built in the US. Your price: $1675.00 delivered. I have other versions of this sail available for less of course. RB 35s5 NY |
Hey, Sloco....
Full batten mains are fine ......... for catamarans.
35s5 a boat for posers |
Hey, Sloco....
All the major sailcloth suppliers Dimension, Contender, etc get tons of
fabric returned from lofts every day because of defects in the cloth. They then turn around and offer these seconds back to the lofts at 50% off. The lofts use the good parts off the rolls for repairs to customer's sails that use the same fabric. I suspect Boobie's midnight sewing machine operator is using defective rolls of cloth to make his bargin sails. |
Hey, Sloco....
I have other versions of this sail available for less of course. Gee, I don't need all that expensive full batten stuff and 2 reefs. Tri-radial Pentex, regular length tapered battens with the top one being full, 5/16" boltrope, 1 reef. ****, if a full batten Kevlar number is $1600 your guy should be able to do this for $900. Of course I would want to know the name of the loft and the brand of cloth. |

Of course I would want to know the name of the loft and the brand of cloth. I'll call him in the morning. I have a rig/price database, but the parameters are basic. I'll get back to you with a quote, which I do expect to be quite low. The loft is the real deal and you'd deal directly with them. I'm just spreading the word. I was quoted 3800 bucks or so for a tri-radial main from Ullman for a 35s5 and that's with a dealer break. That's insane. Do we all have to pay for advertising? A Pentax tri-radial for your boat would be 2200.00 or 350 less for cruise lam of DIAX. North wants 3600 for the same sail. RB 35s5 NY |

Look at the material near one of the battens. Namely above and below. |
Hey, Sloco....
Hint: Take a close look at the photo of his sail. Look at the material near one of the battens. Namely above and below. Hint: Gilligan knows nothing about sails at all. Steve at Ullmer knows what my sails are made of...spoke to him today about his dealer pricing as well. Too high though, even with my steep price breaks. Gilligan doesn't even know what my sails are made of...though he'll google it up fast. There are no "seconds" on AKS Aramids. And if a loft somehow got them and was caught selling them there'd be trouble. Now, if you ask me where my low low ULTRA low cost chutes are built (also here in the USA), I could again only answer on the phone. I can again beat any major loft by a huge margin...even though they ARE from a major loft. Here's a another sail I sold today.... Catalina Tall rig: Mylar Tri-radial mainsail, full battens, 2 reef points for 1390.00 Pay what you want, folks. I think I may get a cruise-radial next. Hurry, Gilly....look up cruise radial! Name the boat and rig, I'll fire off a killer price! RB 35s5 NY |

Hey, Sloco....
Anyone can check what I pointed out for themselves. A few will catch it. Gilly is so dumb he's missed the obvious truth about that photo...taken at that angle for a reason. A few DID catch it, but he has no idea and is talking about fabrics! BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! What a dope! Is that Smoke AKS, Gilly? Is it my sail even??? RB 35s5 NY |
