Default Today's Sail

I did not get to the yard in time to get our genoa setup as winds had
really built up. With Thomas in tow we ended up going out on our
friend's J29.
ZOWEEEEEE! It was windy! Gusts beyond 30-35 MPH a few times and we
ended up double reefed sailing with a bit of jib and seriously cooking.
Suzanne said it felt like we were wakeboarding!
It was windy and a bit cold for Thom so we only stayed out for a while,
but it was friken awesome! Tomorrow morning I'll be at my club ultra
early to get the genoa set-up and get both sails up. Hopefully we'll
have a bit lighter wind to work with.

Maybe you can warm up in that permanently locked "clubhouse."

Nope, we rented it to Sailtime, who operates here as well. We also just
improved our wireless internet for our slips and now offer even deeper
discounts on sails and canvas work. Even on a day like today, plenty of
folks were enjoying their boats. At several points during the day the
launches at CIYC weren't operating because of high wind and late last
night I actually went out to sleep aboard during the wind-storm. Try
that on your bargain mooring field.
People with $$$ don't hang a good sized boat off a mooring if they can
help it. It's fine for a boat like yours or a Catalina 27 or J24. I
guess when you have a crappy boat you have to have a clubhouse and a
stiff drink!
BTW, what happened to all your money, Dave?

Let's say I have a million or three tucked away somewhere. Would I talk
about it?

Dave, I now know a few things about you. We have a friend in
common...two actually. Let's can the bull. You own a cheap boat and
operate it cheaply....for a reason. If you want to pretend you have
millions, enjoy.

Yeah....those dumpy Swedens, Vindo's, Tartans, Sabres, Island Packets,
J Boats, Beneteau's, Tayana's and C&Cs....and except for a sole J29,
ALL cost a lot more than your boat!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
