Default Dutchman System for your main? Why not?

Does anybody here want a good deal on a Dutchman System?
I'm getting one for my buddy Fred so he will have one before
heading south this winter, and thought I'd extend the offer
to the group.

I have been using Dutchmans for a long time and love them. And since
I work for the company, I can pass on a good price to you. Jon
you expressed some interest didn't you?

So, if you are interested post me your mainsail specs to my email
account: doubleecho at optonline dott net

I need: P and E dimensions.

Also: the length of your longest spreader (from mast to tip)
so as not to create a snag on the leader lines.

I'll get back to you with a price for a system. If you decided to go for
it, I'll give you a quote and ship it out to you or your sailmaker since
it will require some modification to your sail.

To refresh your memory it works best on new sails--if you leave it
flaked neatly over the winter it will fall perfectly for you after that.
They
also work well on heavier sails like the old main I have on Echo.

I've ordered the Doyle Stack Pack after speaking with a lot of people
about all of the systems and I found an almost universal preference for
the system from Doyle. My 35s5 came with the Dutchman system and I
removed it. My main was too old for it to work reliably.
I recently got to use both on newer boats (Hunter 40 and C&C 36) and I
really like the Doyle system better, though there's a higher windage
factor when stowed.
