I used to use a winter storage yard that was totally low budget - instead of a lift they had an old truck and a homemade frame. Boats were moved off the frame onto cradles with an array of small hydraulic jacks. Instead of a work boat with an engine, they would pole around their little cove with 20 foot poles. |

But, you don't see push poles carried on sailboats. So to say sailors should use a pole when they don't have one is dumb. I *do* have a couple of anchors..... Speaking of poles.....
