If you want, ir we could just all sit and feed his delusions like we

wonder how long it will last before he decays.

Thankfully, no body that I know presently...

Grab the stinkin dock or use long poles to push the boat along.

I have a long pole you could use but you are probably a lesbian that
never shaves.

You couldn't be referring to me, Gilligan! sigh

Somebody who knows seamanship....

That's about as silly as most of Capt. JG's ideas! :-)

Ellen

I've never seen a recreational boat kedged of a dock (I've kedged off
a number of other things), but I have used a pole on a number of
occasions. I used to use a winter storage yard that was totally low
budget - instead of a lift they had an old truck and a homemade frame.
Boats were moved off the frame onto cradles with an array of small
hydraulic jacks. Instead of a work boat with an engine, they would
pole around their little cove with 20 foot poles.

Poles are for punts and people fishing in shallow water with small skiffs.
But, you don't see push poles carried on sailboats. So to say sailors should use a pole
when they don't have one is dumb. I *do* have a couple of anchors.....
Speaking of poles..... How do you sink a polish sailboat? Put it in water. :-)

Cheers,
Ellen
