Do you really believe that the trend isn't upward? If you think not, then I
strongly suggest you vote for the most anti-environmental candidate you can
find. If you believe you're better off now than you were under Clinton (no
pun intended), then vote for another right-wingnut. You have my blessing. If
you believe that you are worse off, that the war in Iraq was started without
knowledge and forethought by those currently in power, or that the economy
is not too good (stock market, real estate, business in general), and the
environment is getting worse, vote for a change.

In fact I believe the trend is generally downward and we are
heading into another ice age. In fact we are over due.

The media would have you believe that there is a consensus on
the global warming issue. There is no consensus.

Here is a list of scientists and meteorologists who do no believe
in Global Warming. These are the experts--not the media.

http://www.sovereignty.net/p/clim/leipzig97.htm

Why is it you believe the media, with its hype, over scientific
opinion? Why is only one view shown? Why are dissenting
voice ridiculed? Could it be for political reasons only? I think
so.

The dominant factor that controls warming and cooling is
the Sun--the amount of solar radiation falling on the Earth.
Comparing axial tilt, Sunspot cycles, and the physical factors that
determine the angle the Earth makes to the Sun and this distance
between these two bodies correlates strongly with heating and
cooling trends.

Here is what Dr S. Fred Singer, an atmospheric physicist who leads
the Washington-based Science and Environmental Policy Project
has to say about the subject. He is also a distinguished research
professor at George Mason University in Virginia and the Institute
for Space Science and Technology in Florida. He was the first
director of the U.S. Weather Satellite Service, now a branch of the
Department of Commerce. He is the author of numerous books,
the latest of which is Hot Talk, Cold Science: Global Warming's
Unfinished Debate.

Bart, there is more than a consensus. Even the Bushco administration
believes that humans are a primary cause of global warming. Feel free to
read all the right-wingnut publications you want, but that doesn't change
the facts.
