More correctly, your life will always be a delusion, which has been my
contention about you all along. Since perfection is subjective in life, and everyone perception is different, I offer that everyone's life is a delusion. So, you are saying there is nothing--absolutely nothing--about your life that can be improved upon? This is why people like you and Doug are so unhappy...or at least sound that way. If you're having a "perfect" time with your wife or sailing or both, what makes it less than perfect for you? Do you sit there and think, "Ah, if only this was a Swan and if only my wife was Charlize Thieron? If that's how your mind works, always looking and knowing there could be something better, then you're doomed to a sad life. Who's to say the Swan wouldn't run aground and Charlize isn't a terrible lover? You may in fact have perfection for your life and not be appreciative. Very sad that you maintain this perspective and call smarter folks delusional. Delusion is grand if you can pull it off, Bubbles. Call it what you will, but few people would call my comments delusional. I had a perfect sail with my wife and she was perfectly beautiful that night. Is that delusion, love or just one person's perspective? It doesn't matter, but I maintain factually that you're missing something important in your life if you can't feel it. You'd have to redefine (upgrade) your delusional definition of "perfection" if you'd done anywhere near as well as I have. I wonder what you think "well" is. I have a friend who restored his Camaro, married a pretty Italian girl and had 5 kids. It's what he always wanted. He doesn't have a lot of money or a 35 foot sailboat. He loves his job and his life. I don't think he'd look at your life and feel you'd done better. But then he's not like you, so he wouldn't assume you'd done worse either. Maxi, it seems you have a LOT of baggage and a very sad perspective on things. My time with Suzanne this morning was beyond perfect. I can't stop smiling. If that's "delusion" I'll have another glass. RB 35s5 NY |
