Another near perfect sail last night....great winds, good food and a
stunning sunset that seemed to last forever. Elizabeth, at the helm,
said it was the most fun she'd ever had at the helm of a boat near the
size of Heart of Gold. She raced J24's for 9 years.

Is that a Heinekin bottle in Sudsy's hand?

I can fully understand why she needs to drink, but, what
happened to your 'no drinks onboard' rule?

I was crocked and didn't notice that she had a beer! It was a stormy
night when we got home!

So will being tired.
Being distracted can be a lot worst than a couple of drinks. MODERATE
Nutsy. I alway tried to seriously examine my own condition

After some years as a bouncer, I've probably heard every excuse there
is to drink and operate a car, boat and even a motorcycle. The most
common is the "I've been doing it for XX amount of years and I've been
fine."

You've just contradicted yourself. After x years of doing y...

Well, that's great. But too many people haven't been fine and have hurt
themselves and others.

But not all, not a majority, not a large minority. A very, very small
minority.

The bottom line is that no one drinks on my boat
while underway.

Yet a Ghost Girl got groped by a drunk!

As you've seen from the many pics, no one has had a
problem with this.

Is a picture really proof?

Go sailing, clear your head and the bloodstream
while you're at it.

In the air of NYC? You gotta be kidding.

Now that Thomas is aboard if I see anyone drinking while piloting a
boat, I will report them without hesitation. Drinking and operating ANY
kind of vehicle is both childish and foolish.

But it is not illegal! In Wyoming and Montana you can drink and drive as
long as you are not drunk. In fact you can drink and drive in all states in
your blood alcohol is below the limit.

It's also selfish.
I did my fair share of drinking, Thom. Then I grew up and realized even
moderate drinking is better left behind.

That's due to a medical condition, not a moral decision.

I haven't regretted that
decision for a moment.

Liar! You wish you had good bowel health. Then you would drink!

It's very depressing to find a person drinks,
LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
smokes or voted for Bush these days.
LI AR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It must suck to be you. I could care less about what others do as long as
they do me no harm.

Indeed. Kind of a amateurish thing for a hi-end photographer.. no PFDs,
drinking (well, that's ok).
