Default Advice on buying my first sailboat

Hope someone can help.....

My parents owned a C+C 25 (Sold now) and I am going to buy a used boat
in the spring. I want something that sleeps at least 2 but I need a
boat that performs well. (I want fast but I don't really plan to race)

I am thinking 20-26' and depending on what I earn the over the coming
months I will be looking to spend 5-10K. Still have to determine if I
want swing or fixed keel. I plan to sail Georgian Bay 30,000 Islands.
I will research whatever boat you tell me but far my list includes:

CS
C+C
Shark

(I am not sure if a Grampion would be to heavy for my liking)

Thanks in advance.
