No, I'll check them out tonight. Have you ever dealt with
'PrestigeCamera'? They have the Z120 at $166. I checked
some reviews on them, over 1000 negatives! Apparently the
place is a real rip-off.

DON'T!!!!!!!!!!
Prestige Camera is one of many sites that scams people by taking the
order, the calling you back and asking if you want the battery or
manual for extra charge. Believe it or leave it, a lot of people fall
for it.

The Fuji Finepix S7000 kicks ass on the Nikon D70!

This was an odd failure from Fuji. Poor low light focus and no AF
assist lamp.

Have you experienced this yourself?

Sharpness at 12MP CCD res. is poor and there is quite a
bit of barrel distortion.

It doesn't have a 12 MP CCD.

With a sensor half the size of a D70 it's not likely to kick any ass
and barely measures up to my new Casio.
Crantz, sensor size and is more important than MP count.

No it's not. Increasing the space between charge cells on the CCD increases
the grain of the picture. You can't refute that!

You forgot to mention bits per pixel. How does that affect the phhoto
quality?

Only the
ignorant worries about MP counts. The 4 MP Nikon D2Hs blows away my D70
in every way, even though my D70 has 6.1 MP.

How many bits per pixel on each camera?

Go google up a storm, but you don't own any good cameras.

I don't even own a camera!

The Fuji S7000 focal plane array is far superior to any Nikon FPA. It's the
features and compression algorithms that make the S7000 fall short. But you
knew that, right?

So all you really know about cameras is what the sales brochures say. You
can't refute that either!

Bwahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Nikon says otherwise:

You know nothing about the actual physics of a camera!

You prove that with every post!

Go read some more sales brochures!

Fool!

It doesn't have a 12 MP CCD.

Not native, but it does have 12mp output. Look it up.

No it's not. Increasing the space between charge cells on the CCD

Wrong. There is no increased space because the cells are larger. Larger
sensors make for less noise which is why no small sensor can match
Canon FF 35mm sensors for ISO performance.

You forgot to mention bits per pixel. How does that affect the
phhoto
quality?

It effects, but so does inherent pixel sharpness AA filters and the
optical set. The Fuji is not a good camera, Bob. The Fuji 30 is.

How many bits per pixel on each camera?

Google it up yourself. I use these cameras.

I don't even own a camera!

Clearly.

It's the
features and compression algorithms that make the S7000 fall short.

No, it's the optics that kill it, like any fixed lens camera. It
suffers from distortion, CA and poor control over DOF like all P&S
cameras.
And you DID not know that because you didn't google enough.

So all you really know about cameras is what the sales brochures
say. You
can't refute that either!

Bob, give it up, dude. You just proved beyond any doubt that you have
no clue. You have no idea of real world performance because you don't
own any of these cameras. And yes, I did get to use the 7000 and
recently the 9000, which is FAR better. Niether could touch the
cheapest DSLRs out there.
Your troll ends here.

Not a native 12 MP CCD, but the output is 12 MP.

Changing your story now aren't you?

So larger sensors make for less noise. Are you saying a larger overall CCD
has less noise or larger individual charge cells have less noise? Are you
talking about high frequency noise with regard to the image quantization?

Yes and no, yes and no. Which is it now? Pixel sharpness comes from having a
small size. But directly above you are claiming small pixels sizes have more
noise - how can they be sharp then? The Fuji is not a good camera, but the
Fuji 30 is. What is this, Alice in Wonderland?

Apparently you are not aware of downsampling algorithms:

Nothing!

About what?

I don't own any cameras! Or a boat!

And yes, I did get to use the 7000 and

You have been proven consistently wrong on your knowledge of how a camera
really works. How can anyone have any confidence in anything else you say?

Your troll ends here.

No it doesn't. You'll take another chomp at the bait! Unless you can refute
the Nikon website! Which you can't!!!!

The Fuji is preferred by many over the Nikon D50:

Better optics for the money is just one reason!
