How many days are left?

I may not haul out this year...... but I have until

Oct31st 2006 to decide
on that.

In the meantime Overproof is on a secure mooring with

water taxi, shoreside
showers, pump-out, water, power as needed, picturesque

fishing village,
great restaurants and bars, fresh veggies, butcher shop,

nearby loft and
chandlery..... all the stuff one needs. No crime, no break

ins no thefts no
vandalism, no security needed.... and friends to drop by

and spend time
aboard. The sailing area is fantastic and I can go out

every weekend when I
get back from site. I can also haul out and place the boat

to a cradle on
the town wharf.

Total season cost with free water taxi [0800hrs to 2100hrs

7 days a week and
free water/power at the dock and free showers with dinghy

dock included]
$360Can. ....... Beat that! :-)

Sounds almost perfect...if only it were in NC
somewhere....perfection!

Dropped by C.M. on Friday had a bottle of rum on hand. There's always
next week. P.S. Haddock Shoal is full of tinkers now caught a bucket
full in about 1/2 an hour using feathers. Dry

Default Operation - "Shake-Down"

DANG!!! I got caught for a chore and spent Friday night and Saturday
morning building a kennel while waiting for a buddy dropping by with cash he
owed me. Got to Overproof on Saturday afternoon and left on Sunday morning.

Got my mooring fees paid for.... dropped a case of beer off for the Water
Taxi lads. They'll be keeping an eye on Overproof for me.

I got some photos of Mahone Bay testing my new digital camera.

Just go to the Photo Journal Album....

Too bad we didn't meet up. I had a bottle of Lambs Navy overproof and a flat
of beer. Red cans [Keith's Amber] for the port tack and Green Cans [ Keith's
India Pale Ale] for the starboard tacks.

I'll be back there on either Friday or Saturday next weekend.

Later

Great pics. Nice to see a mooring field with mainly sailboats, Mahone Bay
looks like a really cool place.

Thanks John... Yeah, it's a great place to sail as well. Just outside the
bay is a semi sheltered region full of islands [they claim over 300] with
open ocean just beyond. It's within a daysail of most attractions like Oak
Island [Pirate Treasure], Lunenburg [ World Heritage site & home of the
Bluenose II] Chester [Chester Race Week], Peggy's Cove and Halifax as well
is a day sail away.

The town of Mahone Bay is famous and has been well preserved to reflect it's
heritage and architecture. Lots of small shops, great restaurants and
excellent bars.

Nothing like sippin' your first cuppa-jo with scenery like that to gaze on.

If you ever make it down this way... let me know. We can arrange for a sail
and a beer.
