What are you gonna do with tweezers for a snake bite? And what about some
gauze pad? And you should carry three bottles of rum, just in case.

Only three? Why so few?

Did I say 3? I meant seven. Keep one extra for company!

You're lucky. We got a million of 'em here. They're a PITA
and NYC won't take 'em back. I guess you never really hang
around Oriental very much, the population there is about

50%
Noo Yawkerrs.

There ought to be immigration laws!

We New Yorkers don't LIVE WHERE YOU ARE. Get it? That's why it has a
different name; NEW YORK.

In other words, it's York only with better advertising.

My understanding is that the tunnels and bridges leading away from Manhattan
operate on the diode principle--the New Yawkahs can leave but they aren't
allowed back in.

Makes sense.

We met a few of them in Oriental and New Bern. Most had mellowed out a bit,
but the locals were far more amiable. Once a New Yawkah, always a New
Yawkah.

Is that what that "E-Z Pass" toll booth stuff is all about?

NC courts have decided that use of the phrase, "But you've
never had a *really* *good* bagel" is grounds for
justifiable homicide.

I think so. Slams the gate shut behind 'em.

They'll be adding to that category with time.

Max,

I don't blame anyone for not sailing in the rain. I never liked it and
had a Pilothouse with inside helm.

What is the sense of sailing in the rain, if you don't have to? Nothing
to see. Nothing to gain by tacking or gybbing. Just changes the angle of
lean.

I'm with Nutsy on that. Sit on the boat at the dock and drink Coffee and
wait for it to clear.

Nutsy,
Rough means No Air?? Cripes, I'd think some one who claims to be a
Writer would be able to find a better word to describe Calm, Still, No
Breeze, Quite, Dead Calm, Flat, Slack

Rough is a mind picture of Choppy water, White Caps, Blown foam, Reef
Sails, Buried Lee Rail, Foul Weather Gear.

No wonder you've been assigned; "Baby Sitter" Not a bad role for a
Daddy but teach my "Name Sake" how to use words properly.

Nutsy,

Snake Bite is the reason to open the damn Bottle Of RUM!! Same as the
Cork Screw on the lanyard. Jeez, will you ever learn. Do you even know
what; "Sun Over The Yardarm" means.

Nutsy,

All the anti-venom doesn't mean ****. When was the last time you seen a
"poisonous snake' on a boat? In Long Island Sound? Wise up!!!

Thom, I think he's right on this one. Out here, no air is a bummer. A
nice days is paragraph #2. Otherwise, what's the point? :-)
