Beat every boat in our class outright.

http://www.byc.com/mack06/results-overall.cfm

14th overall.

Couldn't help thinking, if we'd been sailing one of those oh-so-fast
Beneteau 35s5's, we would have won overall.

Bwahahahahahhahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahaha

Pictures to follow.

High five, John. Kewl.

Congrats. I've always heard nothing but good things

about J33s.

The only thing negative I've heard about them is that

they're substantially
slower than a Beneteau 35s5.

Only while pointing.

Hey, somebody who posts here has actually been doing some sailing?

Congrats, probably a very competitive field.

Frank

Yeah, the big boats are semi-professionally crewed, got guys from NZ and OZ
sailing on them. A small boat could conceivably win overall, under the right
circumstances, but I'm willing to bet it hasn't happened in a very long
time. Finishing 14th overall with the1st in our division feels absolutely
unreal. Thanks, and yeah, it was actually sailing, the boat will end up with
over 500 miles in long distance races this year.

I hear a new record was set by the winner.

Well Done John.

Joe

Awesome job John! Congratulations!

I hope you didn't soak the inside of the boat like last time

Thanks John- so you were sailing hell-for-leather and taking
pics too? Did you beat Night Ops and Racer-X boat-for boat?
That's mean!

Not both. Night Ops is a "D" class, we beat four of those guys outright,
corrected over all of them. Racer X is a "G" boat, the give us fits Wednesay
night, we beat them outright by about 2 hours and corrected over them by
1-1/2 hours. The boat that took 13th from us was another G boat, we beat
them by 23 minutes, they corrected over us by 42 minutes. Aside from
Collina, the G boat, everyone else is in the "I have a big ass racing yacht
category" , Santa Cruz 70's, GL 70's, Andrews 68, and several Transpac 52's.
We actually rounded the mark at Southampton with one of the Transpacs, and
beat one of the A boats corrected, a Nelson/Marek 68.
