Why even my dogs wear a PFD aboard.... Bobsprit is merely an unfit parent!
He can't swim and claims flippers as a recovery system!!
I have MOB poles, two properly equipped MOB devices plus a .12 gauge line
launcher, drogue, sea anchor, all PFDs have immersion activated strobes. My
life Sling alone is better than what Bobsprit doesn't have. MOB drills are
ongoing and practised. Safety on a vessel isn't by chance... it's by design.
It's more than obvious that RB hasn't a clue about sailing or safety.

...and Thom... you should be ashamed of yourself... taking up sides with RB's
descion.... an adult making a decsion regarding a PFD is one thing... but
backing an adult who can't control his own child and insist that basic
safety protocols are followed is quite another. I could swim at 13 months of
age.... little Thomas cannot swim a stroke. You once described cold water as
"it should be treated like acid"... yet you condone Bobsprit to allow his
son who can't swim to elect weather he wears a PFD??
Last time I checked.... children followed the direction of their parents...
and in Bosprit's case ... Thomas is imitating the total disregard for safety
exemplified by his parents!! Yet he's doing so without the benefit of
parents that are experienced and capable of handling an MOB situation. That
alone qualifies what RB is doing as totally WRONG!!!

In one way you are right Thom.... but times have changed... while we learned
from Masters... RB learns from books and has little experience... please do
not feed his need for gratification... since he has not earned it like we
have.

Yeah, it's a shame that we need such laws because of a few
homicidal parents such as boobspit.

Ah, reminds me of my abusive past. ;-)
My mother made me take private lessons when I was young.

Breastfeeding her child, Joe. Something I'm sure you wouldn't know anything
about, since you don't have children or didn't raise them.

Good thing your dog doesn't have to worry about tan lines!

No! No! No! Bob learns from films! You don't see Johnny Depp or any of
his crew in a PFD do you?

Brilliant observation, Marty! You don't need no stenkin' PDF in the Matrix.

Wrong, Jonathan.
This is a regular vest with an extra section for inflation that makes
it behave like a type 2. It's damn hot to wear of course.

Joe,

Seems Robert knows nothing about being a real Capt, or Father.

I'm not sure I'd even want to agree with that statement; Picture be
damned!

There is a sailing oriented Mother for each kid in that picture. That
picture shows that. Safety gear, Mob pole, Tied life Ring, Horse Bouy.
All that **** creates a hazzard in its own right.

Joe; I'm making the statement, here and now, that I consider those kids
with a mother in attendence for each in that picture, is safer than any
cockpit loaded with safety gear, life vests. Period!

NO CG REG. Is worth a Damn without human evaluation. A kid wearing a LJ
is never a safe as a Kid with a mother looking after it.

I'm not taking sides between you & Nutsy.
CG Reg at times do reach the Highs in Stupidity. Much to often!
