Extremism is no vice!

I get along great with and respect many and most of the Mexican's that work here in the yard, and I have worked with over the years. I've worked in Mexico for 2 years straight. I like the culture and find the people humble, hard working, and mostly good people. http://www.austinlizards.com/songs/t...nt_mothers.mp3 http://www.austinlizards.com/teenage...t_mothers.html Without addressing the reason(s) for the tremendous numbers of poor people willing to come here illegally, there's almost no point in trying to slow down the flow. Why not? Maybe by doing nothing here we are encouraging and supporting more corruption south of the border. If we put a stop to illegal immigration perhaps the leaders south of the border would do more to provide it's own citizens with profitable work. Seems Mexicos leaders are to busy printing maps and guides to sneek the problem across the border for the gringos to deal with. Very cost effective. If the Feds went to a dozen randomly selected large corporations, checked for the presence of illegal immigrants, and arrested the CEO and Board, the problem would go away. Exactly, if we enforced current laws, there would not be a problem. If I dropped a dime to INS it would be easy to get every contractor doing bottom jobs shut down here. Well except they have way bigger fish to deal with and could care less. Maybe we should think about ****canning the director of the INS and keep firing them until we can find one who will enforce the laws we put them in charge of enforcing. You are right, we need a few Enron type trials of CEO's ect using illegal labor. Of course, so would a magnificent source of campaign contributions... hmm, does anybody think there might be a pattern? Better turn it over to the Department of Connecting The Dots. Yeah...I thought John McCain could not be bought, but it seems the farmers in AZ must shove a huge heeping pile of money on his desk every year. Meanwhile, I recommend learning a little Spanish. It'll expand your potential cruising grounds too. You planing on cruising Texas and California or NY Amigo?. Need real world tips on entering port in Mexico? My company always had a big box of goodies for the Port Captian and customs to share on the galley table ready to be seized. American smokes, Playboy magazines, Couple cases whiskey......cash...ect. Then the PeMex guys, Mayor, Dispatcher, ect.ect.ect. Lot's of cash came in handy.. Joe Fresh Breezes- Doug King |

I wonder if Joe can play the banjo?
Joe wrote: Yes...but that song is offensive...almost racist Doug. No, it isn't. Read the words to the song, it does not say one word against teen-agers, immgrants, welfare mothers, or drug addicts. OTOH it is making fun of bigots, so perhaps it is "racist" in that sense. The most likely outcome, in today's political world, would be a rapid re-writing of the laws on hiring illegal immigrants... written by the CEOs themselves... And will definitely go back. I would like to cruise lots of the Gulf... just not in hurricane season! Need real world tips on entering port in Mexico? The company man was *very* eager to get me aboard and get his ship fixed, so he took care of it. That approach won't work travelling on private means, though. DSK |
