Default Texas seems ready for a Big Storm

We just had a little rain and they have formations of USCG helo's
flying in review, Blackhawks brought in and on standby at Ellington
field. 40 fast water rescue teams, 100 National guard hummers, water
takers, ice trucks, harbor fast responce boats crusing the lakes, fuel
trucks set up on evacuation routes ect...ect..ect..ect. Even the
Governer flew over earlier

Looks like a battle zone.

The news stations are hyping the rain, pictures of the swimming dog
"hunting for her flooded out puppies" amoung 5 people standing around
knee deep water. I'm sure they drove around for hours looking for that
puddle and story.

Regardless of the hype Texas seems prepared for a storm.

As long as you didn't hire the Louisianans to do your emergency
operations...

You don't get it do you Okie?

I said "after a little rain"......... did I claim it was a Hurricane or
anything like Wilma?

Im amazed so much was staged for so little. But it is re-assuring to
know our Gov. and Mayor will not be misirable leaders like the folks in
LA have to deal with. IF we have a major strike ..Our leaders seem to
be well prepared to act.
