Default Double the resale value!

Toyota may cost a few thousand more, but after 4 years it has over
double
the resale value of a Kia! We're talking 8K$!

Such poor research, Bob. I'm really shocked you could be so sloppy. The
2006 Kia is an all new minivan and no resale data is available for it
yet. Judging by the fact that it is currently a huge hit for them and
getting great reviews, it's likely resale will be better.
That said, few cars can match a Toyota in that area.

It's actually great research. There are many years of data in the links I
provided. All show that the Kia Sedona has had poor resale value. Really,
ask yourself:

"Who would pay top dollar for a Kia?"

An even better question is:

"Who would be a new Kia when a used one is a much better value?"

With a great review and 50 cents, one could buy a cup of coffee. No matter
what, the resale value will be less than Toyota and by a large margin.

The Kia Sedona you've researched is not the same car...not even close.
You failed at your research. you might as well have compared resale of
a 2006 WRX to the older 1999 RS from Subaru.

"Who would pay top dollar for a Kia?"

I don't know. I'm sure glad we didn't. In fact we paid almost 2.5K less
than average according to Edmunds and got free alarm, remote starter
and oil changes.

An even better question is:

"Who would be a new Kia when a used one is a much better value?"

There are no used Sedonas. The new model is only out a few months.

But it's nicer than any Toyota by a good margin, has nicer ride, better
handliing and far more power. I wouldn't buy the Toyota due to the poor
power.

Back to your drawing board, Bob!

You had to buy the car to get the freebies. They aren't free.

They will start filling used car lots soon.

The power difference only begins in the top ten percent of the rpm range.
Are you going to redline a minivan?

The Toyota is lighter and has a far superior transmission. Not to mention
exceptional gas mileage.

Toyota can point to a consistent track record of quality and exceptional
value.

The best KIA can do is hope that this car is their exception and meets the
norm for Toyota. Wings on a pig Robster!

There free if the dealer gave them to us and no one else we spoke to.

And so it goes for every car, but for now you were utterly wrong.

The power difference only begins in the top ten percent of the rpm range.

Wrong. It's noticeable at the low end, off the line, merging and so on
and noted in EVERY rewiew that the HP and Torque are excellent, beating
all others. I drove them all and the Kia is clearly the fastest and has
the most grunt. Frankly 0-60 in 7.3 seconds is faster than
required...but I'll take it!

The Toyota is lighter and has a far superior transmission. Not to mention
exceptional gas mileage.

The Toyota has the same MPG. We know this 1st hand. The AWD version is
far worse on gas of course.

Toyota can point to a consistent track record of quality and exceptional
value.

Too bad they won't back the car with a good warranty. Dealer warranties
are a must with every Toyota and don't cover everything.

The best KIA can do is hope that this car is their exception and meets the
norm for Toyota.

And that is Kia's goal, with 3 more upscale cars in the works and
financial muscle to challenge Mercedes and BMW in 3 more years. The
Korean car builders are chasing after the Japanese just as the Japanese
chased after the big 3. The scary part is the Kia and Hyundai are
merged and have shown that they can do what the Japanese did in half
the time. The big three are doomed when fit and finish of a 10K Kia
beats a Caddy.

Ooh my little peppy one, peppy one.
Are you gonna start up some time, Sedona?
Will you make your motor run, your motor run.
Gun it comin' off the line Sedona
Never gonna stop, give it up.
Got no brakes. Always get it in for the touch
of the cheaper paint. My my my i yi woo. M M M My Sedona...

Come a little closer huh, ah will ya huh.
Close enough to look in my eyes, Sedona.
Keeping it a mystery gets to me
Drooling down the length of my thighs, Sedona
Never gonna stop, give it up. Such a cheapo car.
Always get it up for the touch
of the cheaper paint. My my my i yi woo. M M M My Sedona...

When you gonna give it to me, give it to me.
It is just a matter of time Sedona
Is it just cheap to me, cheap to me?
Or is it delusion in my mind, Sedona?
Never gonna stop, got no brakes.
Such a rotten car. Always get it up for the touch
of the crinkled paint. My my my i yi woo. M M M My Sedona...

Yes we got the standard alarm...but we also got a Cobra passive system
with better features combined with remote start. One button starts the
car. A second button starts the car AND opens Thomas' door. That's not
standard, sir.
