Sorry Bob! I'm now a confirmed Bowflex user, but in my serious lifting
days, that machine was a joke to us. It may appear that the athlete is
lifting a ton, but the incline and the fact that he's is no longer lifting
his own body weight makes it less impressive. Yes, it's possible there was
2,000 lbs of plates on the machine, but I'll bet ol' Pat can't squat even
500 lbs!
