Trailer?

I'll help you put it on the roof of your car.

I bet you will.... a Lightning weighs 700 pounds

Thanks, but I'd really need a trailer for it, since I'd be dry sailing
it. What I'm really hoping to find is a restorable wooden FD like I
had when I was a teenager. I just missed one a few months back.

I drive past two FDs... on trailers... almost every day. Sad
boats left in the weeds of a side yard, would need total
restoration.

Hey Bobsprit, if you're not lying about the Lightnings, you
can give us the hull #s, right?

Only if it meets minimum weight. An old boat will probably tip the scales
at 730 or more.

And manufacturer?

Sure. Mine weighed 715 when I bought it, 702 after working
it over (I wanted to allow for some scale error because I
promised her she'd never ever have to wear lead bricks).

But you know Bubble's Lightning would be class-certified at
the razor's edge of minimum weight.

That's a little harder to find. Ask him about corrector
weights, too.

But you can't possible miss the number, even an half-blind
schlamozzle like Boobsie would see it *if* he'd ever so much
as set foot in a Lightning.

Built with pride in North Carolina.

Why doesn't your "client" have a picture of his boat? Surely
he can afford a camera? Or doesn't he have any friends who
might take a picture of his boat?

Well, I wasn't impressed. I asked him why he needed a boat like that for
and he told me so he could get there fast. I asked him why he just didn't
get an airplane. One week later, he sold the boat. I had to right a check
for the one year tag/tax on the boat and the check was $4,500.00. Such a
waste of money!

Why would I want a picture of his boat, Doug? I saw it with my own eyes.

I would think he could buy a camera, since he made $1.55 million off of just
Sprint wireless last year.

Now that he's sold the powerboat, maybe I can find him a really nice
sailboat!
