It's certainly inconclusive. Douglas Aircraft definitely made some horrible
aircraft over the decades. If the all-new DC-10 was just released, and it
got rave ratings from the magazines that sell Douglas its advertising, would
you want to fly on one?

Judging from the fact that you bought a Kia, I guess you would.
