Default Light to Single Reef Breezes Today

Sunny, dry, comfortable sailing, 70 degrees
with light winds up to a single reef breeze.

Once again the wind clocked around. Started
with a North wind. Saw, NE, NW, East, and
then it settled down to a light Southerly onshore
breeze. Once again the strongest wind was the
East wind.

With the wind mostly Northerly, these are great
opportunities to sail east or west on Long Island
Sound.

Saw that giant low that was hunkering over Michigan on the weather
channel last night..I imagine that's what's helping to contribute to
the vagaries you experienced. Makes for interesting sailing...you
can't say you're bored if you have to switch tactics every 15
minutes or so!

Hey katy! I saw the new pictures you posted. I
like the one of the cleat and coffee cup.

Regarding the wind. We have a cold front
coming through and the weather turns to rain
and cold this weekend. It really pays to go
sail on the nice days. I'm glad I got a chance
to go out today. How are things down south?

Bumpy today, lots of T-storms. But should be perfect for the weekend.
I had a regatta to sail on a friends brand new Beneteau 343, however
have to go to Nashville for a wedding we committed to. Very close
friend's daughter or I would skip it and sail.

We have set about six daily of record highs this past week. Way too
much heat this early. And the gulf is too hot. Not good.

It's getting pretty green up here, too. Or were you referring to the scum
on the water?

Are the weather men are predicting another big hurricane
season?
