I don't know about you but I've come into different gulf ports over a 1000 times and have never been stopped by the USCG...Never. Infact, I have never in my life been stopped or boarded by the Coast Guard inshore or offshore. How many here have ever been stopped by the USCG? What did they do? Joe Never boarded at sea by CG Several courtesy dock checks (they used to do that about one weekend a season, your choice, no fault) Stopped once at night by DEA when sailing by Miami. Well not really stopped, they just matched speed and asked for numbers and destination. They were in a blacked out cig boat, I'm sure it was confiscated. They ran with us for a minute, probably checking a computer, then said have a nice evening and went on. Couldn't see them when they were 30' away. Frank |
