Suppose the afterlife is not something external to you, but rather a
continuation of your soul in the world you created for yourself. The
guilt free would seem to have a good afterlife, whereas those possessing
guilt may have problems.

For me there's no guilt as I look forward to an afterlife as the man who
pushes out the washing machines for display on "Queen for a Day".

You're right, except for the rightwing nuts who have hijacked the
republican party.
Don't worry, they'll burn in hell!
Um, Jon doesn't believe in Hell, Bob.

Just because a person doesn't believe in it doesn't mean they'll escape
it....they just get a BIG surprise at the end...

There may be some truth to what you say....I don't think it's a guaranteed
thing for anyone...

You could always buy into one of those religions where, if you believe in
Jesus, you go to heaven automatically. If Hitler, in the bunker, accepted
Jesus he goes to heaven. It's an easy "Get Out of Hell Free" card. Make sure
you send in your weekly contribution in the pre addressed envelope! Saves
all the hard work of living a good life and working on personal development.

I am going to create a even better religion, good for me and good for you -
where anyone can buy their way into heaven. It doesn't matter who they are
or what they did, simply write me a big fat check and I guarantee - or your
money back - you will go to heaven.

A big Amen on that one!

There is no truth to what he says. "TRUTH" refers to things which are
facts. This "god" hocus pocus stuff is at best a very weak THEORY. Ask
Max. If it can't be proven beyond all possible doubt with verifiable
facts, it doesn't exist. Max said so!

The only real fact is the law of identity. Everything else is thereoms,
postulates, axioms. corollaries, etc.

Removing all possible doubt does not a fact make.

Amen!

Besides, it's better to rule in hell than serve in heaven, and it's where
all my friends are going... oh wait, I don't believe in hell, heck with
that.

I believe that's already been tried...it led to the Protestant
