Mr. Oz, I am respectfully asking if you would kindly explain what causes you to describe Los Angeles in such terms? Granted, as every mega metropolis, Los Angeles has it's ugly areas, and granted, Los Angeles is not like our European capitals with gracious architecture and tree lined boulevards. However.......... Just what areas of Los Angeles were you in? And perhaps you were limited in time and did not have the time to see areas that would not cause you to compare them to effluvia? I really would appreciate your answer, as your reaction is not the usual one that I hear from other visitors to Los Angeles. Thanks.........a.a.t. I'm not Oz but I can answer in 3 letters - LAX. That's what international visitors experience as their entrance to LA. Worse than a 3rd World airport in function and service. PDW |

It's but a short drive to safer proximal residential areas, away from the 'tutes, dealers, and general ner-do-wells that slither about the streets of Hollywood. I can't understand why anyone would want to live there, although I do understand why folks work there. Max |

Does he by chance know Marjo Goitner (sp?) - the dude who made the infamous documentary on evangalism that won the Cannes festival too many years ago? Last I heard he was a successful stunt man. Everybody should see his flick - otta be required in the schools. |

Hey, I used to live in Hollywood. It wasn't so bad in the 70s, at least not
for an impressionable young person. :-) I lived right across the street from where Sal Mineo was murdered. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Maxprop" wrote in message ink.net...
