Default Best Rat Rifle

They are trying to destroy my house and cars. In one day (1 day, mind you!)
they did $1,235 worth of damage to my friend's car (we car pool to work and
he parks in my yard). They chewed through just about every wire under his
hood, and ripped the insulation down from the inside of the hood.
They are in my attic, chewing and gnawing at everything. They have run
through my house, they have run past me whilst I am working out on my
Bowflex Treadclimber (not a paid endorsement). They are everywhere! I've
tried the 'have a heart' traps and they just laugh at them! Two of those
traps still sit in the yard, peanut butter bait still intact.
I tried being mister nice guy. Now they die.

Can I ask, why you're shooting squirrels?

I just bought a Gammo air rifle at Dicks Sporting for $80.

Vel = 1000 fps.
Killed 2 squirrels in less than a minute from 45 yards. It

does have a
scope.

Has to be a Remington model 550-I .22 with a Simmons Pro

50 scope,
using bird shot.

Only problem is CB rounds jam.

Dinner?

That too. You should try them with a little peanut butter - it rubs in
nicely!

I had a rat chew the radiator fan sensor wire. The computor light came
on. I could not figure it out so brought the car to the dealer. They
wanted to install a new fan, new sensor, harness. Talked about 1,100.00
to fix it. I told them not to touch anything. When I picked up the car
the service manager said a mouse chewed the wire in half. Took a 5 cent
butt splice and a 3" strip of electrical tape to fix it.

Kate,

I've got a Rat Terrier named "Jazz" feels the same way. A well placed
pellet leaves them kicking before they "Give up the Ghost OR Jazz gets
to them. She likes them in one piece kicking and shaking. She likes to
finish the job.

We work the potato Barns out here. A pile of Dog kebble; A couple of
folding canvas Chairs, with arm rest. set-up about 25 yds out side the
Barn door and a couple of Thermos of coffee and dogs on quick release
ties. A nice relaxing afternoon shooting and companionship

Never thought to take picture but will now; when we get a little longer
days.

Oh. When we lived in the burbs, we had one get in the house
and run amok, I shot him. We now live in the middle of the
woods, tons of squirrels all around , even some flying
squirrels, (Rocky Jr. ? ) but have never caused any
problems. One even sleeps in the barn, but has not damaged
anything, yet. A chipmunk was chewing up Lisa's flowers so I
shot him with bow & arrow.

What's the problem, did he turn up the machine too high for
you?

Yeah thats what the dock hands use. Has to be a terriable way to die,
Ive seen the poisioned ones stumbling around bloated.
Plus they get in places and rott and stink. I'd rather shoot them.

We started splicing wires, but the deeper we went into the various bundles,
the more damage we saw. He had to have several harnesses replaced, along
with the insulation, etc. It was a real mess. I offered him the first two
squirrel tails for his mirrors. He had no sense of humor.
