Look at all the young age mogul fiends getting new hips later in life. My knees began to give me problems in college after the better part of 10 years as a catcher. I still suffer some issues with them. Your point is well taken. Max When I coached youth baseball, which I did for about 10 years the hardest position to fill was catcher. Seems like those that could didn't want to and those that wanted to suffered from bat swing blink. One of my sons caught for a number of those seasons, however reluctantly. He was always beat up. Nothing quite like taking a 200lb., 20mph baserunner in the chest while attempting to catch a long throw from center field. Max |
