What could possibly motivate someone to carry on and on and on with
repetitious, braggadocios taunts and meaningless drivel day after day, week
after week, year after year? How could any sailor's life be so empty and
bereft of meaning?
How could anyone's mind be so fixated, driven, and unchanging?
