Hey, Mooron...how far up Scotty, Sloco's and Crantz' butts do you plan
to crawl???

I know you're mad at me. I exposed your boat for being a cheap
knock-off of real full keel ocean going designs. And better yet...I did
it with the official Nordica 30 website and your own words! Nothing
ever will save you now because that website makes it really clear why a
Nordica 30 never made it and sells typically for less than 20K!!!! I'd
rather have a proper boat like a Pearson 30, which at least can cross
an ocean! All you do is cross the blvd. to buy new lumber for that
interior.
The real teak in my boat is in the galley, nav station, aft and forward
cabins. The bulkheads are honeycomb with veneer. But why is the real
teak in MINT condition after 16 years while your boat looks like it was
under water???? Why is my fit and finish so far beyond yours?
You got what you paid for, Mooron. A tired, dated, slow, uncomfortable
Island Packet wannabe that can't cut the mustard. Meanwhile 35s5's have
circled the globe and continue to win major races....and you have a
major restoration project!

Fit and finish?

Real wood bends and warps.

Real wood surface coloration is not uniform.

Your boat's "wood" interior is glued sawdust and plastic veneers. Plastic
and epoxy resins don't warp or discolour.

Your interior is geniune imitation wood, ie plastic.

Moron's interior is the real thing.

Your boat is tupperware.

Get a life.

The galley wood, nav wood and aft + forward cabin wood is all solid
teak. The sliding panels and bulkheads & doors are veneer. Why haven't
my real woods warped? More importantly...why does the wood in typical
Cape Dory 33 still look great? Why don't the woods in a Tartan 34 warp
and fall apart like Mooron's. All of these boats have real wood. Some
have more than Mooron's and yet none look as bad. Tell us why.
And while your at it, why did Mooron himself admit that the Nordica
interior was poorly crafted? Tell us all, "Lloyd!"

If there's "no doubt" that they lose shape, I can understand why people
dislike them. They also jam mostly because the people using them don't know
how to use them well or they make a mistake. The ones in the mast might be
impossible to drop in an emergency.

I hate the ones that furl into the mast. They eliminate the ability to use
battens (yeah, I know that someone--North, maybe--is putting vertical
battens in their furling mains now), they eliminate the ability to carry a
significant roach, thanks to no battens, and since there are only two
bearing points--top and bottom--to carry the load of the sail, one or both
are going to fail eventually. And when they do you can count on it
occurring when you are least likely to be able to deal with it, such as well
offshore, or during the approach of a squall. Then you're screwed, blued,
and tattooed.

I like some of the furling booms, however. You can still lower the main if
you have a bearing failure, and the other limitations of furling mains are
eliminated.

My point was that if Bubbles had a furling main, then he'd negate the need
for sail covers entirely. A more attractive arrangement for a dockside
condo.
