We like air/wind and all the things one can do with it/them. Like a wing turned on it's side. I've got a ride in an L-39 coming up this spring. Can hardly wait. I'm envious! Good for you. Be sure and take some pictures and give us a report when you get back. I hope you are buffed for the experience, you will enjoy it much more if you are in good physical shape. There are quite a few for sale these days, but most still have instruments with Cyrillic numerals and letters. Not really surprised about the instruments. Where are you going to have this little adventure? In Gadsden, Alabama? LP |

Where are you going to have this little adventure? In Gadsden, Alabama? A friend in Oshkosh, WI, owns one. He picked it up from a California gent about a year ago. It has been completely restored with instruments in English and Arabic numerals. It is painted in an attractive silver metallic and the interior is essentially olive drab. The engine is relatively low time. The previous owner had a hot section done the year he bought it, and then did a major the following year. My friend is not particularly adept at aerobatics, but I am. I'm hoping he'll allow me to show off a bit. Max |
