Sounds like a nice boat. I too have a steel hull pilot house ketch 42'.

I painted the decks over the Christmas holidays and had dew at night
take out the shine of the paint. Required a 3 coat.

The Bruce Roberts boats are good design cept the square chins on most.
Never seen a Mauritius Ketch, will google an image.
Mauritius is one of the favorite islands I've ever visited, back in
1980.
