Tampa Bay @ the New England Patriots.

Vegas Line was even. Now NE is favored by 4.5 points.

This should be a good game. I predict a decisive victory
for the Patriots.

Patriots 28 Buc's 0

Is that decisive? The Patriots stomped on the powerful
Buc's shuting them out completely, and could have scored
again with four downs and two minutes to go on the Tampa
11 yard line. It would have been easy to kick a field goal for
another three points, yet they didn't, they chose to take a knee
and run out the clock.

All this proves that statistics can fool you. The Patriots offense
is much better than it was rated (5th). And the defense is far, far
better, with the return of many key players--many of these injuries
incurred during the win against Pittsburgh early in the season
which cost them a few losses in the middle of the season.

Right now the Patriots are the best team in the league, and
I include the undfeated Colts. However, they will have to
play one additional game against a Wild Card team and that
adds an extra challenge on the way to the Superbowl, along
with facing the home field advantage Colts on astroturf.

What is left for the Patriots? Next Monday night they
should easily beat the NY Jets (3-10). For the last game
of the season, they play the Miami Dolphins (6-7) at home in
the cold where the Dolphins are perpetually jinxed to lose.

The Patriots should be 11-5 for the season, with momemtum
going into the playoffs, and Mr Cool driving the boat.

Forgot to mention.

The Patriots shut down an outstanding runner for the third straight
week.

This week--"Cadillac" Williams gained 23 yards on 14 carries.
Last week--Buffalo's Willis McGahee had 3 yards on three carries.
Two weeks ago---The Jets' Curtis Martin had 29 yards on 15 runs.
