Liar!
Here's the salary for Staff Geriatric RN's in New York City: http://swz.salary.com/salarywizard/l...20--%20Nursing Your wife is entry level. Why does she make 50% more than someone with 10 years experience? Just like your Tribeca gas mileage figures! Inflated! Liar! She's really pulling $18/hour, just like every other beginner nurse - half of what you said! Liar! Amen! "Capt. Rob" wrote in message ups.com... And she's how old? 38, this is her second career. Her starting salary for a 3 shift week is 72K. When does she take the state boards? They are the same, Doug. She's now a licensed RN. She'll spend a couple of years in critical care, mostly for the elderly...she feels they are the most abused and ignored segment and that's sadly true. Gee wiz. My wife is an RN and also has a masters in business. She gave up bedside nursing. That's sad. RB 35s5 NY |

38, this is her second career. Her starting salary for a 3 shift

Don't bother telling us your wife works at such and such or that she negotiated that number or she has special talents or any other pile of crap. Your story is crap and your busted. Nurses are treated like teachers in this country. Employers know that they are dedicated type people and they take advantage of that fact by underpaying them and screwing them on retirement plans, vacation time etc. My wife got out and is now on the road/working out of a home office for an insurance company dealing with lawyers, doctors and deadbeats like you who want to collect workmans comp. |

Bull****! My wife had to reach management level when she was
working in a hospital before she hit those kinds of numbers. LOL, she and her fellow graduates were offered low 60's all the way up to her present salary which was not the top offer, but also featured loan forgivemess. NYU Med Ctr. is paying 65K. Roosevelt offered 63 and change. BTW, loan forgiveness is 500 per month, but is taxed hard. There's a huge shortage. Suzanne got calls from 15 hospitals and had many interviews well before she graduated. Some of the women at her hospital are pulling 6 figures after 4 years. Wanna guess what my best friend, who's been a nurse practitioner for 3 years is making? National average for an RN is 45K or so. This is NY, and few places pay below 60K. RB 35s5 NY |

Your wife is entry level. Why does she make 50% more than someone with
10 years experience? Wanna make a bet? 68K per year for night shift, 36 hours per week, plus loan forgiveness program and bonus = 72K RB 35s5 NY |

Here's the salary for Staff Geriatric RN's in New York City:
She's not a geriatric nurse. Those RNs usually are from West Indies and make about 50K. She's in critical care at a private heart hospital. You can post all the charts you want. RB 35s5 NY |

Loan forgiveness is taxed as ordinary income, but if you had an inkling of financial savvy, you could deduct the cost of education as an expense. That bonus is small. Most signing bonuses I know of are about 10K for nurses. What hospital is she working at? Monster has job listings for experienced OR nurses at 80K$ in Westchester County. So they're paying entry level nurses more than nurses who have been on the staff 5 years or more? Why don't they just rehire experienced nurses who left the field because the pay was too low when they left? You lie! It's easy to prove too! Amen! RB 35s5 NY |
