Why didn't you sell one of them and buy a NICE boat?

I plan to in about five years, after we're done having fun with our
daysailor.

I dunno, Jeff. We had a really good time and some awesome sex aboard.

And where was Suzy at the time?

You never really asked how we'd use the A/C. Period.

There are only two ways that I know of, plugged in at a dock or
running a genset. And the boat doesn't have a genset. You're the one
who said "A boat without AC is horrific in August."

The point, which you're too dense to understand, is that you claimed
this as a great advantage, without even considering that it can only
be used at the dock with the boat buttoned up. That's handy for a
liveaboard in FL, but means little for a cruiser, unless you define
cruising as marina hopping. This speaks to your qualifications to
judge any boat as a cruiser. You went so far as to claim you don't
need proper ventilation because the boat has A/C.

To a sailor, it means a lot.

No, Jeff. Only a louse would quantify the merits of someone's passion
by make up their set of values to judge it.

No Bob. My entire point is that you completely lack the experience to
judge any other boat. For the last 10 years, you've judged everyones'
boat on a daily basis, but your experience is limited entirely to
boatshows, magazines, and occasional daysails in protected waters. I
don't claim you're a jerk because you daysail; I claim you're a jerk
because you make lists every week on the flaws of all other boats, and
advise others to "kill themselves" if their priorities differ from yours.

You're trying to spin this that I disapprove of daysailors. Nothing
could be further from the truth. Its you that I disapprove of.

And only a total ass like
yourself would react the way you have at someone who's "judged" you
boat, no matter how accurately. That's why you panties are in a twist
and that's why you're now stuck with me.

Actually, there wasn't anything you said about my boat that bothered
me. Is pretty clear that you lack the experience to judge it.

You keep trying to spin this that I'm upset that you bought a bene
instead of a cat. I have no problem with that; the bene was a fair
choice for you, I said that up front. I object to your claim that not
having a swim platform is reason to "kill yourself."

We all know what kind of person you are, Bob. If my daughter read
what I wrote, I could live with it. How about you?

Sorry, loser. That's one bit of bait I'll never touch. I don't ever
involve someone's kids in these antics on any level.

I'm not involving your kid; I'm just pointing out that you should
consider your comments here part of your legacy. If you're writing
things you wouldn't want your child to read, then maybe you should
reconsider. You seem very sensitive about this; I guess I hit a
nerve. What nerve that is, I don't want to know.

I had hoped that having a child would encourage you to mature a bit,
but it looks like you'll be stuck in junior high forever.

So the Bendy is just another stepping stone?

There are only two ways that I know of, plugged in at a dock or
running a genset.

Actually you can run off battery banks and some newer AC systems will
run off 12V or 24V direct. But that's not really a definition of how
A/C will be used, only operated. And now it's too late for you to dare
ask what the applications will be!

No Bob. My entire point is that you completely lack the experience
to
judge any other boat.

What exactly did I say that defines my "lack of experience?" That I
found it dull? Lots of people prefer monohuls like mine because they
find Multis like yours dull. Even the PDQ's owner didn't like the
boat's motion and found her a drag to windward, which you've also
confirmed. The owner of the Gemini I've sailed misses sailing his
Island Packet and boy is that ever telling! I like the idea that you
think it takes "experience" to judge a boat like yours. It takes no
experience for most folks to find it ugly...and that's enough for most.

I'm not involving your kid; I'm just pointing out that you should

consider your comments here part of your legacy.

You mentioned my kid, so you involved him. I won't return the favor in
any form. Not my style, so you can play on that dirt road alone.

You seem very sensitive about this; I guess I hit a
nerve. What nerve that is, I don't want to know.

Sad attempt, but it was I who said everyone should kill themselves. I
got the response I wanted. The only one dumb enough to still keep
biting the bait is you! Since I set the bait and reeled you in, all you
can do is claim "Oh I meant to do that!"
Yeah, right!

I had hoped that having a child would encourage you to mature a
bit,

What a shallow world your mind must exist in. You think that someone
who enjoys some trolling on a newsgroup (populated by nothing but other
trolls!) should behave in a mature way? Good lord, could you be so
dense? If YOU were mature you wouldn't be in this circular argument of
my invention.
So just let us all know when you're getting to be...mature!!!

Bwahahahahahahahaha!

What you have some super secret use?

You actually said that a sailboat without A/C would be horrific! What
a Putz!

yada yada yada

Do you have a point here? Comparing a Gemini to a Island Packet is
like, well, comparing a Bene to an Island Packet.

I like the idea that you
think it takes "experience" to judge a boat like yours. It takes no
experience for most folks to find it ugly...and that's enough for most.

You're just proving my point. I understand perfectly well why you
bought your boat, but you have no understanding of why I bought mine.

And I still don't understand why you want everyone to think you're an
asshole. But for whatever reason, you have succeeded.

What a shallow world I must exist in.

So you're finally getting it!
