Doug...not ONE of those boats listed matched or even came close to the
criteria I listed. Either no aft cabins, no swim platforms and so on.

You proved my point. The 35s5 (at the time of her design) was a rare
combo of features and speed. Nowadays such a boat is a lot easier to
find...for about twice the price. C&C and Kirie were among the very few
other contenders.
The 35s5 is essentially umatched for her speed and accomodation, unless
you spend much more. I bet there's some odd make boats out there that
can do the same...but not easy to find, buy or resell.
