I purposely didn't give you any clues or hints. Think about it some more.
It's not important that you post it here, it's important to give it some thought. It's ok Joe, they'll let you sail on the cooler portions of the lava. Amen! "Joe" wrote in message oups.com... You tell me yours, and I will tell you mine. Joe |

It's nice to have a boat thats more than a weekend toy costing money isn't it? No more School Tax, no more property tax, a home that rocks you to sleep. Take 10 min to go sailing, great sunsets and sunrises on the water every day. Only us liveaboards enjoy the true value a fine sailing vessel provides. The liveaboards around here never move. They would have to move al the junk in the cockpit and all over the deck. In my experience it's the racers that get out quickest, most often and in all weather. I think I'll stroll the decks now, perhaps feed the birds and have another cup of fresh Hills Brothers coffee Hills Brothers......gag up on the forecastle. Foredeck, the fo'csle is inside. Charlie the crab man should be making his rounds anytime now. Going to see if he has a soft shells for us. Joe RedCloud the perfect home |

Bull****.
Here is a picture of a proper forcastle pronounced (fo'csle) on the Texas. http://www.quarterly-report.com/tour..._rotated33.jpg I mustered on a forecastle for 4 years... I know what a forecastle is. joe |

So you should endlessy wander? You travel to visit and discover, to broaden your horizon, not to wander forever towards one. If you want to invest in a house to make money then thats fine, but the bubble is bursting in realestate Bob. Living on a sailboat is about freedom. Joe Joe Dream on. Unless you are connected to this drivel by a satellite connection from some distant, secluded anchorage, siping martinis that some minion made, your freedom is a myth. Freedom is not having to suck the blackwater out of your tank, paint the bottom, change the oil and fill the tanks. Freedom is owning the dock, the boat, a house, condo in Aspen and a travel agency. Freedom is someone else getting up to check the lines at 0200. Living on a boat is the pain that some of us ordinary people are willing to put up with to have a small taste of freedom but freedom it ain't Too bad you missed out on those house deals! |

Freedom to do both and take my home with me. You assume I miss long commutes, yard work, fast food, routines, solid ground. I'm fullfilled by perfect sunsets off the bow, the sound of the waves, the smell of the water, unblocked breezes, and having the ability to provide everything I need from my home. I'm at the perfect marina on a lake where lubbers pay 2 million dollars to have a view as nice as mine. Lake? My highest value or goal in life is to provide and protect my family and enjoy being with the people I like. Living aboard gives me more freedom to do that. I've had the land with barns full of stuff, and it's just that .....stuff. Some people get so much stuff they become slaves to the stuff. Jesus did not have a bunch of stuff did he Bob? Joe |

Freedom. A good Sailboat with the proper equipment needs nothing but the winds and a sharp crew to provide everything a sailor needs to survive. Is it free loading? Maybe, but thats why god gave us wind and the oceans. Joe Light up another one. |

Too Bad? Last house I bought, I sold it 4 years later and doubled my
investment. Wireless is here, the price will drop and I will indeed be in a secluded cove or lagoon sipping martini's soon. Best thing is I will be making good money while I do it. Capt. Poop sucks out the waste, I dont even have to be here. Mexicans paint the bottom and I do not mind tinkering with engines. Shoulden't you be out raking leaves or something? Joe |

What? You doubt what I say?
Need proof? Joe |

I know what a forecastle is. joe It is different on a ship. On a small boat it is called the foredeck. It would be pompous to call it a fo'csle. We muster the ship's crew on the fo'csle. As in: "Fo'csle berthing party close up." Big difference on your little liveaboard. "Coffee is served on the foredeck." When and where did you serve on the old girl? BB35? Trade? |
