Default Things I Don't Like....

As Mooron asked and in the end I'm ALWAYS Honest, here are the things I
don't like about the Beneteau First 35s5....

On Deck:
Don't like the teak slats in cockpit
Large wheel is a few inches too far aft
Primary winches are not an easy reach for singlehanding
Engine controls not on pedestal...might make sense in practice though.
SS step down to swim platform a bit shallow.

Below Deck:
Nav station stool...don't like it
Sliding storage doors.
A few drawers are of the finger snapping variety
V-Bierth filler piece actually blocks door...hilarious mistake!
Aft cabin lighting is weak
Fridge is a bit small
Propane system...must be coverted to safer setup.
While recently refit, aft cabin fabric liner is destined to fail again.
Retractable blinds color is "odd"

If you did not buy a crappy French Boat you would not have such a
massive list of things you do not like.

Buy Cheap French Junk and thats what you get.

But the Tartan 34, J34C, Catalina 36, Caliber 35, and even the C&C 99
had a longer list or things I didn't like. Which boat could you have in
mind?

Just where are the engine controls? Is it like a skiboat?

Let me guess....In the Galley?

In the engine room...No you aint got one, just a box with the wrong
type of sound insulation, a dangerious insulation that makes toxic
fumes as it burns...Go ahead ignore me again on this subject.

Bad news, Joe....she has all new fire retardent insulation from Boat US
and a Fireboy automatic extinguisher mounted! Didn't you even look at
the pix before blowing it again? You're worse than Bob Crantz!

http://www.floridaboats.net/images/3...slides/36.html

Dripless shaft, Fireboy, new insulation, electric oil exchanger built
in, bleeding pump....or as the surveys note: Engine shows very little
wear and operates as new. Automatic extinguisher fitted 2005, approved
sound insulation installed 2005. Forward port engine mount show minor
rust and should be cleaned and repainted.
C'mon, Joe...ya gotta win one sooner or later!

You better add the engine to your list.
