Default 35s5...superior for her purpose

Want to daysail....cruise, race or just be ahead of the pack?

35s5 deck and bulkheads are honeycomb for light weight and immense
strength. So much for the lightly built deck, Ozzy. Deck problems are
rare on these boats. Only problem I found was due to a dropped mast!

Laminated inner hull units are rot proof and make her extremely stiff,
while saving weight. She has no core to hassle with and meets the same
standards as cored vessels for strength.

Rudder stock is epoxy composite with no reported failures. None!

Deck features special non-skid patterns supperior to standard and a SS
rail that runs the entire length of the deckhouse.

Oh my! What a boat! Swim platform, aft cabin, heat and A/C, nav station
will chart sized surface, ample stowage, huge head, huge cockpit, R&P
steering system....and one of the shortest lists of long term problems
for any production boat ever!

the end of the dock!

Wow... you mean they copied the non-skid deck pattern and s/s toe rail from
almost any other boat and used it on yours?? Amazing!

Well that's not entirely fair.... Bob is a big boy and choses his vessels
based on his two favourite pastimes.... Berth lenght and Head space..... :-)

I'm wondering what pack that might be since we've already seen that a
35s5 can't finish a race ahead of the "pack" of slower boats that
started 5 minutes after it did.

and make up terms to use when you don't know the correct one.


Bad news Ozzy....the phrase was right out of the Manual and the
builder's copy. I can e-mail it to you as a PDF if you'd like to be
proven wrong again. Let me know...I have the file.

Ahhh, OK, so the builder needs to dumb down the manual to suit the
typical purchaser...that would be you.


Dumbed down, yet it was also described as such by Cruising World when
it won boat of the year. It's also mentioned in the Kirie Elite
brochure. Hmmmm. Dumbed down, but too smart for you. Beneteau builds
more sailboats than anyone else in the world. Their hull stiffening
priocess has been described before....even at boat shows with cutaways.
Yet you never heard of it. This would be excusable if it was a small
builder. Looks like there's a pretty big hole in your education again.
You even said that a cored hull is stronger, yet Beneteau has proven
that thier system is just as strong, and flexes less.
You and Sloco should do lunch! Don't get in a snit because a major
builder is unknown to you.

I occasionally forget that you know absolutely nothing about yachts
and make up terms to use when you don't know the correct one.

Take 'window' for example, and 'roof' and 'floor' and 'downstairs' etc
etc.

Now, If you'll describe what part of a yacht are the "inner hull
units", I'll try and help you with your education.

Please don't go to some website and point out where others as
incomplete, ignorant or indeed are talking down to that level, use
that term.

I welcome you to crackerbox palace,We've been expecting you.

It's a fiberglass liner designed to stiffen a hull that would otherwise
pant in a seaway. It's easier than frames or floors but makes it hell to
find the hole that the container made.

Manuals are written for the lowest common denominator. They assume you
can't name the parts of the boat.
