Default The Better Boat...the 35s5

It's time to KILL YOURSELVES!!!! 35s5 owner/charter reviews. Face
facts...even the folks who chartered one loved it and that's rare for a
boat of this type! No edits via Beneteauowners.com.

"Great styling. Well balanced boat which is fast and stable in all
water. Interior is very bright and functional with great storage. Large
cockpit is well laid out."

"rigging (simple), size (I can single-hand this boat), minimal teak
(i.e. lower maintenance), interior styling (Philipe Stark contemporary
pearwood -- light and uplifting), head is where it should be (at base
of companionway) and functions right underway."

"Excellent, fast, reasonably priced Racer/Cruiser. We race it
sucessfully but still go on extended cruising trips with the family.
Ideal size for Great Lakes.
Fast boat that is competitive in PHRF."

"A nice interior on a fast hull. Sailed the boat from the US down to
Brazil and she did behave extremely well. Planning to sail her back to
the US in early 2000 and trade her in for something a bit newer."

"Speed, looks, Light below. Shoal draft keeps us from going bump in the
night. Transom slap gets annoying at times."

"Fun, fast, and manageable for shorthanded sailing. Comfortable for
daysailing and overnights. Sails well in a variety of winds. Great
combo of cruiser/racer. Wave "slap" in transom is somewhat noticeable.
Large Lexan ports look a bit modern, but provide a lot of light in
cabin. Good-sized cockpit and easy to sail for short/single hand.
Comfortable below but not over-done. "

"Have chartered Beneteaus with the Moorings and liked them. Like the
skylights and interior. She is light and fast."

"Inside cupboard hatches can slide open at sea on long voyages in rough
weather. We stop this by putting timber rods in the door tracks.
Maintaining the seal on the windows as they can leak."

"Very durable, very comfortable. Amazing interior design that is
timeless."

"The rudder stop bolt keeps breaking and leaving the rudder to impact
the skeg.
In reverse she is very difficult to control at speed. Thus I reverse
slowly. Fast and capable of channel crossing in comfort. The
accommodation is excellent, even if we have 6 single people aboard."

"boat is slow in light air on a downwind course, difficult to be
competitive when racing same size boats (of different make) that weigh
much less."

"fast easy two handed racing, large cockpit"

"Yes we would buy it again. We wanted a fast boat the two of us could
sail and with liveaboard comforts to accommodate long periods of time
(long trips)"

"Looks great, has held up well and has held its value."

"Cabin Layout, Interior timber finish, marble bench tops, full interior
liner on roof, (no vinyl or lining cloth to maintain), fully enclosed
private sleeping areas forward and aft.
Sails very well, quite stiff and fairly quick for such a roomy boat!"

Sounds like a good boat. You know anyone that owns one?

Yeah, my wife! Maybe she'll invite us out.
