That's why I find it so "cute" to see you guys get all patriotic when you are safely back home! :-) LOL. We were flying our tiny Canadian courtesy flag from the spreader halyard in the North Channel this summer, and when we docked at a tiny marina/town a shopkeeper in a general store asked if we'd care to buy a bigger flag to fly from the roach of the main as if we were Canadian. I asked why and she said, "I was just kidding, but you'd best duck if you hear shots." I laughed and thanked her for the "warning." Every Canadian boat we encountered had friendly folks, and we never heard any anti-US types anywhere. Max |
