Most of the guys posting in this thread are pretty stupid IMHO.
They're arguing over what kind of SLR to use to hold a mob away from
their house?

1- how many of these guys would really shoot into a crowd
2- what are the police going to do later
3- they seem to have missed the fact that the French police are having
trouble with these rioters because they are armed, too

Among the few that have a lick of sense is the guy who said "you also
need a movement plan" which says to me that he's realized that even if
you do chase away a crowd of rioters by shooting some of them, they'll
be back later... probably madder & more motivated, and better armed too.

IMHO a far more likely scenario is that Mr Gun Thread Poster leans out
the window waving his big fancy gun, threatening to shoot, until one of
the mob yanks it away from him. Or, if any shooting occurs, gets
arrested and put in a nice safe jail (and the mob burns his house while
he's away)... or he gets shot by an armed rioter.

There is no weapon more powerful than thinking ahead.
