HEY! You left out me and my Siedlemann 30. I'm so hurt.
Hey, you made me feel bad about it a couple of days ago, so you're off the list! Siedlemann 30 A Vastly underrated boat that has been wrongly compared to US Yachts and Bayliner. If Siedlemann was guilty of anything it was in joining the me-too market rather than designing more notable alternatives. The 30 competes well enough with a Catalina 30 and while it does little better, it might actually present with fewer problems over the years. Because of it's lack of marketing these boats are often available at a 3rd of the cost of a Catalina 30 and it's hard to argue their relative value at that point. Owners with less cash often take a risk with these boats and end up pleasantly surprised that a harsh market interpretation was based on hearsay rather than facts and experience. RATINGS: Build quality *** Performance ** 1/2 Value **** RB 35s5...a boat that rated ****! NY |
