Default The Crippled Boat

After trying wheel steering that wasn't cable based I can't say enough
about the advantages.
Both 35s5's I sailed had pricey Whitlock rack and pinion steering
systems. Feel was tiller-like, feedback instantanous, a huge leap over
the cable based Edson's. If you haven't tried such a system, I urge you
to do so. If you're boat is steered with a standard
wheel/cable/quadrant system, you're missing 50% of the fun and own a
crippled boat. You might as well just use the emergency tiller.
