Let's face facts, boats often have dark interiors and cheap small
portlights. Designers have tried to solve the problem with some success. Witness three designs that have very bright interiors in the light of day due to the overhead L-shaped ports. http://northshore.shore.net/~jpo/swa...n36-anchor.jpg http://www.boatshow.com/IMAGES/SAILBOATS/grz005aT1.jpg http://www.comunidaddebarcos.com//fo...o3%20aitxe.JPG I've been aboard all three and the light below is much better than conventional designs. Sure, you have to adjust for the look. The Feeling 326 is the oddest, but has the brightest interior of all. This is a huge advantage for the coastal sailor/cruiser. Downside: The ports are pricey to replace! Robert B First 35s5 NY |
